Thon Maker
Bucks, Pistons exchange former lottery picks.

The Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons have reportedly agreed on a trade that will send 7'1 center Thon Maker to Detroit in exchange for wing Stanley Johnson.

Maker, 21, was drafted 10th overall by the Bucks in the 2016 NBA Draft but he has not lived up to the hype. Through 35 games this season, Maker is averaging just 4.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in roughly 12 minutes of action per night.

Johnson, 22, is another former lottery pick that has not quite panned out. After being selected eighth overall by the Pistons in 2015, Johnson is averaging 7.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 48 games this season.

The Bucks are currently sitting atop the Eastern Conference with a 39-13 record, 1.5 games up on the Toronto Raptors. The Pistons, meanwhile, are five games below .500 at 24-29. That said, they're just 1.5 games back of the eighth seeded Miami Heat.

Milwaukee will host the Washington Wizards tonight, February 6, while the Pistons prepare for the second game of a home & home against the Knicks in Detroit on Friday night.
