Amy Schumer seems to be doing the most lately in terms of demonstrating her political stances. After being arrested during a mass protest against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, she is now voicing her opinion on the NFL. She believes that White people in particular positions of power should be doing more to help players who kneel like Colin Kaepernick and Charlamagne Tha God and Diddy are here for it.
Diddy shared Schumer's message, claiming "respect" in his caption. The radio host also uploaded a screenshot of the comedian's thoughts with a while expressing his support.
"Energy I’m On This Morning. Statements like this help to restore my faith in humans. This is how you use your privilege to combat prejudice. I mean the LEAST you can do is call out the bullshit when you see it. Salute @amyschumer."
Her statement is a reflection of how White allies could do more to support minorities in their fight against inequality and oppression.
"I wonder why more white players aren't kneeling. Once you witness the truly deep inequality and endless racism people of color face in our country, not to mention the police brutality and murders. Why not kneel next to your brother. Otherwisese how are you not complicit?"
She also calls out Maroon 5 for not backing out of their Superbowl Halftime show like other artists have. Schumer admits to having told her own reps not to book her for Superbowl commercials this year.
"I know it must sound like a privilege ass sacrifice, but it's all I got."
