Earlier this week, Injury Reserve teased that they would be releasing their new single this week, posting the cover artwork on their social media pages. The Arizona trio has been relatively silent for the last year but they're starting off 2019 with a bang, coming through on their promise and releasing "Jailbreak The Tesla" with their regular collaborator Aminé.
If you're into more of a creative, borderline experimental vibe, you'll love this one. The vocals are heavily altered to sound nearly robotic, following the AI theme of the entire song. The track was introduced alongside a strobe-heavy music video, featuring a Tesla with the doors up and the crew wyling out next to the whip. Hopefully, this is the start of a new era for the trio. What do you think of "Jailbreak The Tesla?"
Quotable Lyrics:
Bulletproof the whip for bullets purpose
Satellite roof never losing service
Keep a couple quarters so I call him Curtis
I’m a black James Bond so I make 'em nervous
