While it seemed apparent that we wouldn't be receiving a new album from Offset last night, we were still crossing our fingers for a surprise drop. The artist had done zero promotion for the project, which was surprising considering how heavily he teased December 14 as a release date. At the turn of the clock, the work was nowhere to be found and Offset had jokes for anybody that was sitting on the edge of their seats.
"OOOOPPPSSSS!!!," wrote the Migos rapper. Nothing else - just "oops." This was the first tweet since his "FUCK YALL I MISS CARDI" post last week as the star has been noticeably less active online. At this point, he's simply toying with the audience that expected the project to drop, leading us on only for nothing to arrive. It's a tactic that was used by 21 Savage last week, similarly teasing a specific date for nothing to happen then.
Offset's fans have been finding several sources of blame, pointing a finger at Cardi B after the two broke up. The "Bodak Yellow" singer previously said that her husband's album made her cry twice when listening to the introductory track. Hopefully, the album arrives sometime soon. With a party being hosted tomorrow called "The Set Gala," it's possible that it may arrive in the next twenty-four hours.
