Yesterday, we got confirmation from Travis Scott that we would be blessed with Astroworld on August 3. With the album just a few days away, we almost forgot about how much we wanted a new project from Lil Uzi Vert. If you dare say, we got a little caught up in the hype. However, Uzi pulled us back in with a simple Instagram post, fueling even more rumors about a possible album release.
Earlier this month, fans were convinced that the Philadelphia artist would be releasing a new project in July. Becoming obsessed with a new saying, "Eternal Atake," Uzi tweeted out the words on every occasion he had. Many believed it to be the name of the proposed album. As Don Cannon has said, Uzi records upwards of 700 songs per year and he definitely has enough material to release a brand new mixtape or album. Luckily for us, the rapper may have just confirmed our biggest wishes.
Uzi Vert uploaded a photo of some cover art with the words "Eternal Atake" written inside a keyhole, perhaps suggesting it will be unlocked soon. With a parental advisory in the right corner and some text at the bottom, this is as much confirmation as we've received so far about a new work. At the bottom, it is written, "As was promised- the keys to Eternal Atake are here again in Luv and Rage (The UFO 2) as Lil Uzi Vert and his Father 2000 yrs. ago." That sentence may only make sense to one person in the world, Uzi, but it still has us hyped about the possibility of an imminent drop. Hopefully, more details are given soon about the potential Eternal Atake project.
