When the Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse soundtrack tracklist was revealed, we were excited to hear how some of the major collaborations would turn out. XXXTentacion was later revealed to be a "special guest" on Lil Wayne and Ty Dolla $ign's track, which turned out generating a huge amount of attention. We had already heard Post Malone and Swae Lee's latest collab but new songs by Nicki Minaj, Juice WRLD, and Denzel Curry had us stoked for the official release. After months of teasing, it finally arrived last night as the full Spider-Man soundtrack is available for streaming.
Many of the songs listed are collaborative efforts between some of the hottest artists and strong underground talents. There are also solo cuts from Jaden Smith, Aminé, Thutmose, and others on the project. Despite having a pop vibe on many of the songs, hip-hop is well-represented as the majority of OST is taken up by rappers.
The full work comes in conjunction with the film's release. A few of the songs are turning heads - especially "Scared of the Dark" - as XXXTentacion raps about how he's died "a million times." Let us know your favorite song from the album in the comments.
