There's quite a bit of repetition in the game these days, and specific lyrics tend to get overlooked. This is an opportunity to take a closer listen and really consider what these artists have to say. We encourage your opinions.
Keep in mind, these are the most noteworthy lyrics of the week, not necessarily the best. Also, it's hard to get everything right - if you notice any errors, don't hesitate to let us know in the comments section. Lines we're not quite sure about will be bolded.

Most Popular: RiFF RAFF - Shirt By Versace Freestyle
"I could serve 8 balls like Serena Williams."
Numbers don't lie, folks. Some of you may be surprised, confused or even angered by this, but the words to JODY HiGHROLLER's "Shirt By Versace" freestyle were by far the most popular of the week. If you have an immediate urge to hate, just know that Kirko Bangz cosigned it:
[Verse 1: Riff Raff]
Cranberry jam, candy lotus Lam'
I done served eight grams in a traffic jam
The lemon lamp-lamp shade with the tapered fade
I should've been in Spring Breakers, Versace braids
Neon-cantaloupe Porsche, I play Versace sports
My board shorts match the grip on my surf board
How many times they gon' lie? You gon' pay for it
But now you wanna covet my style? James Franco
I can ball at the mall, who you play for?
My bankroll looks like 8 egg rolls
Medusa symbols twist, Versace Phantom ceiling
I could serve 8 balls like Serena Williams
I only want your friend - but not her
How'd you get on the remix? 'Cause I'm popular
Gotta keep a small circle, fuck you mean?
Versace jewels look like a pack of jelly beans

Most Unexpected: Childish Gambino: Centipede
Childish Gambino dropped this new track out of nowhere this week, and the words were among the most popular, the song itself only falling behind Rich Gang's "Panties To The Side". It's apparently the first track from his upcoming sophomore album, and has been very well received so far.
'Bino details his beginnings, struggles, family and come-up in the entertainment industry on the track, which seems to solidify his new focus on music.
Thoughts?
[Verse 2]
I know this music shit ain't shit
And all these random niggas in my house make you anxious
And I ain't never told you that our love would be painless
But I was so in love with you I thought we could make it
Damn, I wasn't in it
Damn, we wasn't finished
Damn, I got us tickets
Damn, we went to Venice
Prioritize on our lives and made you into a business
That's why you wasn't surprised when I had made my decision
Gotta make it, 'cause if not I'm a failure, my wallet Azalea
And my brother still movin', ain't no shit I can tell him
Try and keep him out of trouble, but the cops is wildin'
And it's nice to have a fellah when the boys get violent
The Mexicans tried to jump me at the club
Funny thing was I thought they were stepping to show me love
Grandma's couch, my biggest fear and fantasy
When I ain't in her arms all I'm makin' is enemies
Here I'm screamin' obscenities at a nigga
Wanted to live bigger than Edenwald Projects
Was eatin' all concept of anyone walkin' out
What is you talkin' 'bout?
Gun Hill Road made them summers feel cold
On the same train that my parents met on
Twenty years later and my thoughts still ghetto
High off of pressure, man, that's a stiletto
Got your own couch now, but you don't feel better

Realest: Tech N9ne ft. Big K.R.I.T. & Kutt Calhoun - That's My Kid
A new collaborative record from Tech N9ne's Something Else album, which drops on the 30th. All three emcees address the process of raising children, with Tech and Kutt referring to their own and K.R.I.T. addressing those he plans to have in the future. It's a very real and deeply personal track - there's no trace of bullshit here.
Can you relate?
[Verse 1: Tech N9ne]
If my kid has a problem
It's up to me as the guardian to go solve 'em
Make my life and involve 'em
Late at night when I call 'em
I like to hear them say "daddy, your song is awesome"
Instead of "gangbangers in school won't let up"
I'm fed up, I'm wonderin' if you could come up and red up
You shut up, negativity can't be found inside my angels
Even though I was stupid, but I put it down
Set trippin', I let it go - headed for energetic flow
When I'm up to know that I was down and out
But now I'm breaded though
I know you saw me rep colors
When I was young and dumb and malicious
I'm thankful, that all my blemishes never made you suspicious
Latched on to light that's known to hype
Apparent, you coherent knowing I rapped wrong to right
Love and positivity instilled in my kid
Their family, my family, their mother and I did
Discipline starts at home, even if they can't stand ya
Watch 'em, fights land, ya clock 'em, right hand
To stop em' - that's a man, if you stand up, even add a camera
They won't be James Holmes, and they won't be Adam Lanza
Or John Malvo, I'll flow loud for my child though
Ain't raising no Groucho, evil out my house, yo
Instead a me watchin' 'em disappear in the night air
I'm at graduation sayin' "that's my kid right there"

Most Refective: Chamillionaire ft. Scarface & Killer Mike - Reign Fall
The title cut from Chamillionaire's new ReignFall EP finds him reflecting on the struggles of the street life alongside Killer Mike and veteran Houston emcee Scarface, with Bobby Moon holding down the hook. They encourage the younger generation to remain steadfast and faithful in the face of adversity, and although Mike doesn't make any direct religious references, there's a general spirituality about the track.
Read excerpts below, and let us know what you think.
[Verse 1: Chamillionarie]
See life chose us, but we chose the life we livin'
We speak of fate and then we say those are likely written
Snakes come with the cake, oh, looks like he's bitten
Your life's a gift but I'm like "Who knows if life's a given?"
Dress casual at birth, at death we wearin' suits
Feels like it's a special occasion, if you want the truth
[Verse 3: Scarface]
If there's a Heaven up above, show a nigga love
'Cause I've been strugglin' in blood tryna to make it back to where I was
I shed a tear for the lost souls, caught up in the street life
Livin' fast, die young, ya'll know what them streets like
Ain't nothin' new we going through it day to day
Doin' bad in the hood, broke as fuck, so it's hard to pray
[Verse 4: Killer Mike]
A nigga judge gave a young nigga 10 years
My baby mama cried 10 times, a hundred tears
A hundred nights in the cell I've cried too
My mama died last year, I kinda wish I died too
But I can't, I gotta be here for my baby daughter
Niggas that I'm doin' time for won't even pay the lawyer

Most Sentimental: Casey Veggies - Baby Don't Cry
This unreleased Casey Veggies track came to light this week, and it's a repurposing of Tupac Shakur & H.E.A.T.'s classic song of the same name.
The cut finds Veggies reflecting on the pros and cons of a specific relationship. Can you relate?
[Verse 2: Casey Veggies]
I really love how you were just thinkin' 'bout your future
And tryna get your homework done, that was so super
I didn't wanna lose ya, but that don't mean I did
But we ain't talk lately, and that shit kinda weird
And I know I can get any girl I really search for
But really girl to me, it seem like you worth more
You somethin' to work for, you made it so hard
I think that's one of the reasons you up in my heart
I just wanted your love, I ain't want it to end
'Cause I need someone to call when I'm in need of a friend
But I guess I didn't do right, but I can't regret nothin'
'Cause I was just doin' me and I ain't a fan of frontin'
It's crazy, the sun light leave, she gets shady
And maybe I should just leave so you could stay free
Really let go of the part of you that made me
And if I stay gone, you will always be my baby...

Most Belligerent: E-40 ft. Danny Brown & ScHoolboy Q - All My Niggas
Veteran West Coast emcee E-40 recruited ScHoolboy Q and Danny Brown for this new cut from his upcoming The Block Brochure: Welcome To The Soil album. The track has all the makings of a Bay Area anthem - the emcees' respective approaches are both heavily thizzed and aggressively hyphy, and the instrumental bounces.
Read excerpts below, and let us know what you think of the chemistry.
[Verse 1: E40]
Leanin' like the Tower of Pisa, Promethazina
Sweatin' like we under a heater, it's hot in here
All them suckers that's talkin' crazy, they not in here
Never tell my right ear what my left ear hear
[Verse 2: Danny Brown]
Man, I'm on! ... 'bout to hit another lick
'Bout a 150 bucks, 'bout the tax on every zip
Gerber bottles of that lean, tax on every sip
'Cause they've got the Qualitest, and I've got the Actavis
[Verse 3: Schoolboy Q]
No credit cards, just debit and large cash
Got a real big bag, smell like a forest
See, I used to sell weight 'til gastric bypass
Packed with a Mac that smacked your car glass

Most Porovocative: Frank Ocean - Versace Remix
Following Jay Z's lead, Frank Ocean posted the lyrics to this remix of Migos' "Versace" single on his Tumblr page this week. Although there's been no audio to be heard so far, the lyrical content is fairly noteworthy, with Ocean denouncing both Versace and Twitter, sympathizing with celebrity drug abuse and taking a direct shot at Chris Brown, describing his music as "sloppy".
Thoughts?
[Verse 1]
Versace Versace, I'll play the piano, I'm not Liberace
You could stay seated, I'm taking that Grammy, your music is sloppy
Niggas is heated they keep on repeating the evening in slow-mo
I sold enough records, I'm selling out cities, I don't do no promo
Marina Abramovic, Riccardo Tisci, Madonna, Beyonce
And Donatella, if you don't believe me, believe what the blogs say
We was all at the table, it was a debate, then we came in agreement
That twitter ain't relevant anyway, really, I'm finna delete it
My Instagram all over internet anyway, don't think I need it
Skrrr!
Got Bimmers on Bimmers on Bimmers
On Bimmers on Bimmers on Bimmers
I'm running that Porsche for the winter
If you trying to follow the leader
I need a sabbatical, do an apprenticeship under Domingo
Study Carreras and Luci, I ain't finna rush out a single
I get it when artists go loopy and lose it and get into opiates
Like when you get all that you wanted and that shit is not what you hoped it was
You had you a formula, one hit the wall now you Aryton Senna
You had you a lady, then she hurt your ego, now you can't forgive her
Yeah...
I'm wearing some Dickies they cost 30 Euro
I'm not even into Versace
That's all.
No Comment: Chief Keef - I Ain't Done Turning Up
The "No Comment" regular returns. This is one of two new tracks from Keef, the other being "Go To Jail". We'll leave the commentary up to all of you.
Stay tuned for next Friday’s Lyrics of the Week, folks. Thanks for joining the discussion.
[Verse 1]
Say, I ain't done turnin' up, shit...
I'm too busy turnin' up, shit
Countin' guap, as I get it quick
Try and take it, you'll be burnin' up quick
Tado off the drugs on that fuck shit
Bad yellow bone in my laundry
You say you wanna fuck, well I want some head
I've got a hundred dollars, where you want it at?
'Cause I'm countin', girl, I'm money countin'
I ain't gotta count it, I've got a money counter
I'm up here at the top, started from the bottom
I can't really trust niggas, so I gotta watch 'em
'Cause these niggas plottin' 'cause I'm gettin' guap now
Back then they didn't want to fuck with me
But they fuck with me 'cause I'm hot now
I see what Mike Jones was talkin' 'bout
Now I'm 'bout to pour a four and smoke my lungs out
