Some music fans like to joke about how they cannot be friends with people who don't understand their use of lyrics in everyday conversations. A man named Davon Eddington was partaking in such a simple pleasure before the front of his property was swarming with police officers.
Eddington was speaking to his brother over the phone while hanging out in his backyard. His sibling claimed the man was a bandwagoner Lakers fan as they discussed LeBron James. Within this context, Eddington referred to a song by Jay-Z to respond in jest: "I got 99 problems, but a b*tch ain't one." Apparently, the meaning of this lyrical passage flew right over his neighbor's brain who gravely misinterpreted the quote. The neighbor dialed 911 as he allegedly believed Eddington had essentially admitted to beating his fiancee.
Shortly after the call, a group of cops showed up to Davon's house and they were prepared to shoot. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. The legal authorities realized the terrible misunderstanding and figured Davon was "swatted" by his neighbor. The police apologized about the mistake and went on their way. Davon remained calm throughout the interaction.
