With the NBA trade deadline quickly approaching tomorrow, trade rumors are swirling around the league. One of those rumors involves the Toronto Raptors and the Memphis Grizzlies. Yesterday, it was reported that the Raptors offered Kyle Lowry and Jonas Valanciunas to the Memphis Grizzlies for Mike Conley and Marc Gasol. It is believed that the Grizzlies declined the trade but now everyone knows that Lowry is being shopped around.
The Raptors were in action against the Philadelphia 76ers last night and ended up winning the game 119-107. Lowry put up 20 points in the match and afterward, he spoke about all of the trade rumors.
"I think they will make decisions for themselves, and they'll do what's best for them," Lowry explained according to ESPN. "I don't think there's one thing I can say or do [to change that], you know what I mean? I think that's just how they work, and they operate. They make moves, and they make moves for the best of the organization. If they do something that will be their feeling to whatever the organization thinks is best for them."
Lowry was reportedly upset after the Raptors traded away DeMar DeRozan for Kawhi Leonard during the offseason. Heading into the trade deadline, the Raptors are second in the Eastern Conference with a record of 39-16.
