La Flame has his own day!

This has been an outstanding year for Travis Scott. The artist released his long-awaited album Astroworld, began a high-profile tour, launched his inaugural festival, had a baby girl, *possibly* got married, and more. He has even more to add to the list now as he's able to call November 18 his own day in his hometown.

The first edition of the Astroworld Festival happened over the weekend and after over 40,000 people showed up to the event, the mayor of Houston decided to create a special day in La Flame's honor. Mayor Sylvester Turner announced the honor after Astroworld Fest, recognizing Travis as an ambassador for the arts, education, and youth initiatives in Houston. While accepting the honor, Scott spoke to the students at City Hall, telling them that he was inspired to make a change when Six Flags' amusement park Astroworld was closed in Houston.

The inaugural date of the festival was a massive success, bringing Post Malone, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, and others to the main stage. Travis was obviously excited to have his own official day in his hometown, tweeting out, "GOT MY OWN DAY IN THE CITY !!!!" Watch his acceptance speech below and be sure to celebrate Astroworld Day every November 18.
