Back in April, Dwayne Johnson proclaimed himself as "the big, brown, bald, tattooed Oprah." "I have this problem. I do have an issue, right? It's like a little sickness that I have where I really enjoy buying cars and giving cars to people," he confessed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! It appears that Johnson wasn't bluffing in the slightest, as he just gifted his longtime stuntman with a new ride.
In a video that Johnson posted to Instagram, the wrestler turned actor meets his stuntman Tanoai Reed in a parking lot. He reveals that Scorpion King was their first movie together, which is an amazing fact. The Mummy spinoff film was Johnson's first time starring in a movie after his brief cameo in The Mummy Returns. It's been a crazy sixteen years since then, with Reed taking on stuntman duties for almost all of Johnson's biggest projects ever since. "When I saw him, I was like, 'oh my god. Looks like my twin,'" states Johnson in the Instagram post. Reed stands by his side in the clip, not expecting to be gifted a new truck. When the words, "enjoy your new truck" comes out of Johnson's mouth, Reed is in shock. After a brotherly hug and a few tears, Reed expresses his gratitude. "I love handing over keys🔑🎁I love you brother and enjoy your new truck," wrote Johnson on the post. "Over the course of my career, my stunt double (and cousin) Tanoai Reed @samoanstuntman has broken multiple bones, severed tendons, torn ligaments & just been an overall dominating badass achieving several 'Stuntman of the Year' honors." Now, that's an amazing friendship.
