Blaze Pizza, a "fast-casual" pizza joint that LeBron James has invested $35 million in, recently opened a new location at the Shoppes at Mid River in St. Peters, Missouri and they're celebrating by giving away free pizza.
According to Fox2Now, from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. today, July 31, customers who visit the new location and follow the brand on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook will receive a free build your own pizza. For guests with special dietary needs, Blaze offers gluten-free dough, vegan cheese, animal rennet free dairy, and tree-nut free pesto.
Blaze Pizza also plans to give back to the St. Peters community by partnering with local schools, sports clubs, and other organizations to host fundraising events.
Blaze Pizza, founded in 2011, has made a name for itself by serving artisanal pizzas that are both fast and affordable. Each restaurant features an interactive open kitchen format, made-from-scratch dough, all-natural meats and vegetables, and an open flame oven which cooks pizzas in three minutes flat.
LeBron invested in Blaze Pizza in 2012 shortly after the first restaurants were opened. The Los Angeles Times reports that Blaze is on pace to open an average of one new store every five days, and the company plans to have at least 500 locations by 2020. According to Forbes, the chain is targeting $1.1 billion in systemwide sales by 2022.
