BIG3
BIG3 presents a world of difference from the established order of pro sports.

The BIG3 is blazing a trail for CBD and Marijuana legitimacy in sports. After current BIG3 star Al Harrington admitted that well over 70% of NBA players use marijuana, especially in the offseason, the 3-on-3 Basketball league made of ex-NBA talent envisions itself being on the right side of history when it comes to player/ownership and cannabidiol treatment. The league spearheaded by Ice Cube issued the following statement today:

"The BIG3 is uniquely positioned in professional sports as a player-powered league that looks at our players as partners not property," said league figurehead and co-founder Jeff Kwatinetz. "As a testament to our relationship with our players, we listened to their feedback on CBD, as well as feedback from professionals in the regulatory and CBD industry, and decided to take this major step to support their health."

The BIG3, already in the midst of their 2nd season in existence, hopes to capitalize on a shorter 10-week schedule of play. In the course of making that ruling, they have the first pro sports league in North America to allow the use of CBD for pain treatment and recovery, a ruling made possible by the World Anti-Doping Agency's decision to remove CBD from its list of banned substances earlier this year. Both the NBA and NFL have expressed a mild interest in doing their own reseach into the matter.
