Jay-Z is one of the wealthiest men in the music industry and when it comes to hip-hop, he recently topped Forbes list of the richest people in rap. We don't even want to know how much money Beyoncé has made throughout her career, too. Both have been going hard for years, being two of the most popular artists in their respective genres. As their tour nears an end, Bey has been documenting each night on her social media platforms, sharing photos of the show and revealing which city has been the loudest so far. They're also making an effort to provide change in people's lives, handing out over a million dollars worth of scholarships during On The Run II. Last night's lucky recipient was Mikayla Lowry, who received the shock of her life when DJ Khaled announced the news on stage.
Lowry was one of the nineteen Boys and Girls Club students who attended the show for free and according to XXL, she had no idea that she was chosen to win a $100K scholarship. "They said my name, and I was like, 'what?'" said the teenager. The tour ends early next month and the entertainment world's biggest power couple has a few more scholarships to hand out before it's all said and done.
There's no doubt that $100K will be an extreme help to her family in finding the ideal college for her to attend. Check out her reaction when she found out below.
