There's been a lot of speculation over the possibility of a feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar in the last couple months. Drake's comments on K.Dot's "Control" verse went from apathetic to salty during his promo tour, eventually saying that he probably wouldn't work with Lamar anytime soon.
Shortly afterward, Kendrick seemingly fired back in a BET cypher verse, which appeared to be aimed at Drake (or, as Papoose would argue, Papoose). Up until now, neither of the rappers had commented on the verse since it aired, but a new interview with The Breakfast Club found Lamar confronted with questions about the alleged beef, to which Kendrick took the opportunity to clear the air.
"We was just having fun." he said of the verse. "Hip hop is a sport. People are going to dissect lyrics, and that's what it's about at the end of the day."
While never outright denying that he had targeted Drake in the verse, the TDE rapper insisted that it was nothing personal. "I've got nothing against Drake. He put out a great album, again. He's doing his thing, and he's part of this new generation."
