In 2016, Jacob Latimore ushered in the "grown-up" era that most child stars must endure when vying for the transition from the lovable triple threat to a bonafide star. The result was an impressive album with Connection and a noticeably burgeoning acting career that has seen Latimore gracing both small and big screens, notably starring in the film Sleight and in Showtime's critically-acclaimed The Chi.
While his focus on thespianism is well-documented, Latimore now returns with a new track that we hope is crafted as a means of taking us into another full-length project. On "Come Over Here," the crooner effectively petitions for a lover to make her way over to his spot because, as he puts it, "You got that something I can't get from nobody."
It's smooth offering that reinforces Latimore as a torchbearer for the more traditional constructs of R&B, and beautifully so.
Quotable Lyrics
Soon as you say you feeling down, I'm coming
I won't walk a thousand miles, I'm running
You better pick up when I'm on your mind
You know I think about you all the time
