When you look back on the last year in music, it's difficult to think of two individuals that made a bigger impact than Drake and Cardi B. The two stars were everything, ruling their respective lanes with everybody tuning in to hear their latest hits. Scorpion and Invasion of Privacy were two of the most well-received projects of 2018 and both artists look set on continuing their blessings in the next few months. Drake has already experienced major accomplishments at award shows but this is all still fairly new to Cardi B. We can guarantee she's excited about her 14 nominations at the iHeartRadio Music Awards though.
The nominations have just been announced for the iHeartRadio Music Awards and if you think of the category, you can almost guarantee a Cardi B appearance in there. Song of the Year? Check. Female Artist of the Year? Check. Hip-Hop Artist of the year? Check. The superstar is up for a whopping fourteen awards with Drake following closely behind with eight. Of the Song of the Year candidates, three belong in the hip-hop category with Cardi B, Drake, and Post Malone representing.
When it comes to the Best New Hip-Hop Artist category, the rappers up for nomination are Lil Pump, Lil Baby, Juice WRLD, BlocBoy JB and the late XXXTentacion. Are you looking forward to the upcoming show? The ceremony airs on March 14.
