Harden has been on a tear as of late.

James Harden put up a whopping 44 points in the Houston Rockets 118-110 win over the Phoenix Suns on Monday night. Harden has been playing as a one-man army while Chris Paul has been injured which have led many to declare the Rockets star as the season MVP, an honor he was able to win last year. Despite his great play, NBA legend Kobe Bryant commented on Harden's style of play and how it isn't sustainable or conducive to winning a championship.

"I don't think that style is ever going to win championships," Bryant told Rachel Nichols of ESPN. "But, at the same time, you have to keep your team’s head above water to win games, so you have to do what you have to do to win games, and he's doing that, right?"

After Monday night's game, Harden spoke to reporters about Kobe's comments and actually agreed with him.

"This way that we're playing, won't happen in the playoffs," Harden explained. "It won't get us to where we want to go."

The Houston Rockets may be injury-riddled, but they've still been able to win games and move up in the standings. Harden and the Rockets boast a 31-22 record and are ranked fifth in the Western Conference.
