YG has finally been granted entry into Australia. The rapper's pending legal case stemming from an altercation in Las Vegas was the initial reason why he was denied entry into the country.
According to The Blast, the Australian government almost denied YG from performing in the country this week after they asked a judge to confirm that the Stay Dangerous rapper was allowed to travel legally due to his robbery case. Court documents indicate that he didn't have any sort of travel ban as part of his bail conditions. YG claimed himself as “an international entertainer and is required to travel outside the United States for a scheduled performance in Australia.”
YG just kicked off a string of shows he has lined up in Australia and New Zealand as part of his "Stay Dangerous" tour. The shows in Austrialia/New Zealand kick off today (Nov. 16) and runs until Nov. 25th. Afterward, he'll hit Europe for another eleven shows.
In court documents, YG said, "The Australian Government, Department of Home Affairs is requesting verification that Mr. Jackson does not have any travel restrictions imposed on him as a result of the above-entitled case.”
The prosecutors on YG's case didn't raise any objections to his request. The judge ultimately signed off on the rapper's request to travel internationally for the series of oversea shows.
