Live Nation has acquired ScoreMore Shows, the Austin, Texas promoter responsible for 200 concerts and festivals per year, including J. Cole's upcoming Dreamville Music Festival.
A Billboard report details Live Nation's deal with ScoreMore, which was founded by Sascha Stone Guttfreund and Claire Bogle in 2010. On top of the upcoming Dreamville Festival, ScoreMore has booked shows for Kendrick Lamar and Chance The Rapper, as well as the touring JMBLYA fest, which included artists like Young Thug and Migos.
Bob Roux, Live Nation president for U.S. concerts, spoke of the new partnership in a statement made to Billboard. "Sascha and the ScoreMore team have a proven ability to form very early and long-lasting relationships with top talent, and their ground-breaking events, whether an intimate club show or a giant festival, really resonate with a diverse and passionate audience base, as well as with the leading artists that they present," he said. "This company is just getting started, and we are all very excited about their future, as we know what they are going to accomplish even greater things as part of the Live Nation family."
Cole announced the Dreamville Music Festival in April. While no acts have been announced just yet, it is expected to showcase the talent on the North Carolina rapper's label, which includes Bas, Cozz, Omen, J.I.D., Earthgang, Ari Lennox, and Lute. Cole's manager, Ibrahim ‘Ib’ Hamad, has promised performances by "local acts, label signees from Dreamville and contemporary stars."
