Now that we're in the wake of the Clemson Tigers defeating the Alabama Crimson Tide, 44-16, for the National Championship, it only makes sense that we're going to hear the juiciest hot takes and commentary on the game. While it's not exactly a scorcher of a take, former New York Jets and Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Joe Namath is commenting on the loss.
"Never like losing," Namath said told TMZ. "We got outplayed and that's the way it goes Congratulations to Clemson."
Namath continued by saying the loss wasn't heartbreaking in the least bit. Alabama has won an impressive five National titles since 2009, so it's not like the Crimson Tide alumni have been waiting forever to get their hands on the championship trophy.
The former Crimson Tide QB is no stranger to success on the field. Namath won a Super Bowl with the New York Jets in 1969, despite being an 18-point underdog. He also won a National title with Alabama in 1964.
