Meek Mill came back stronger than ever after his release from prison. While the rapper spent a few months behind bars and he's still dealing with the case, the rapper became the face of criminal justice reform and has used his platform to shed a light on issues regarding the justice system. The rapper recently released his album, CHAMPIONSHIPS at the end of November. The release of the project helped him earn another number one album on the Billboard 200. It also helped him reclaim his position at the top of the Billboard Artist 100.
Thanks to the release of CHAMPIONSHIPS, Meek Mill is back at the top of the Billboard Artists 100. This marks the second number one Meek's received on Billboard charts this week. CHAMPIONSHIPS also debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
Mill made a major leap to the top of the chart. The rapper was previously sitting at #76 on the Artist 100. His success on the chart is largely due to CHAMPIONSHIPS which charted 16 tracks on the Billboard Hot 100 including "Going Bad" ft. Drake which landed at #6. The song also marks Meek's first top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100 in his entire career.
Aside from Meek, Lil Baby also made a major leap on the chart, jumping from 26 to 8 after Street Gossip debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200.
