In the last 24 hours, it has become clear that 21 Savage was keeping some information from his fans. It was assumed that the rapper was born and raised in Atlanta but after he was arrested by ICE, his birth certificate was found. The document shows that Savage was born in the United Kingdom. 21 does have a case to stay in the United States though, since he reportedly filed for a Visa in 2017, which is still pending approval. The entire situation is truly bizarre and now, his ATL brethren have stepped up to the plate to support him during his time of need.
21 Savage may not be signed to Quality Control but he has collaborated endlessly with members of the label. The artist is close to each member of the Migos and now, QC's CEO is calling for his friends to support the young rapper as he faces deportation. "For everyone who fuck with @21savage that got sum money and influence, let's all go in a pot to get the best immigration and criminal lawyers for him," wrote Pierre "Pee" Thomas on Instagram. Quavo followed up Offset in wishing for 21 to be given a second chance to stay in the country, posting a Black Lives Matter photo asking for ICE to reconsider deporting Savage.
It is being reported that 21 Savage had overstayed his welcome in the U.S. after his Visa expired. He seemingly was staying illegally in Georgia.
