Arya Stark has been on one long journey. In fact, she may have traveled more than any other Game Of Thrones character besides Tyrion and Daenerys. Arya started in Winterfell, was abandoned in King's Landing, wandered Westeros for a while, then set sail across the ocean for Braavos. After training with the Faceless Men, Arya returned home to Westeros to wreak havoc upon those who killed her family. Last season, fans eagerly watched as Arya killed off both Walder Frey and Little Finger, men who were instrumental in the deaths that heavily pruned her family tree. In season eight, fans expect to see Arya complete the killings on her revenge list.
Arya actress Maisie Williams recently spoke with The Guardian, and revealed that her character's last scene was somewhat emotional. "I ended on the perfect scene," Williams explained. "I was alone – shocker! Arya’s always bloody alone. But I was alone and I had watched a lot of other people wrap. I knew the drill, I had seen the tears and heard the speeches.”
In reference to her own farewell speech, Willaims stated, “It wasn’t something I planned, but in that moment I realised what the show meant to me.” The fact that Arya wrapped later than most other characters hints that she may have an extended plot line. It also may mean that Arya survives longer than others, although survival is never promised on Game of Thrones.
