The internet has been popping off about greatness in the realm of R&B since Jacquees' declaration of his being the new " King of R&B." Now, a Hip Hop heads have made entered the discussion. Tank defined his own King prerequisites, including vocal ability, longevity, and global success. David Banner has a different perception of what it means to be a King and his definition is supported by his longtime homie, T.I..
Banner took to Twitter to break down his standards: "A King serves the kingdom. A God answers the prayers of the people. If you say you are a king or a god and you do neither, you are just a selfish f%ck with a little bread. #theGodbox"
The inclusion of the album title is questionable. “The meaning of “The God Box” is sort of like a secret. It’s something that people are going to have to come to on their own. Everyone will get something different out of the album and I’ll let the listener decide what that is,” Banner has previously stated about The God Box album.
T.I. shared his tweet via Instagram with a championing caption: "Truer words never spoken sir!!!! #WhatItMeansToBeKing." If this were the true definition of royalty, would an alleged sexual predator be eligible for the title?
