It's been over eight years since Ice Cube dropped an album and unfortunately, it didn't seem like one was coming. The rapper's energy has been going towards other things such as his acting career and the BIG3 basketball league. However, he announced in June that his next project would be arriving in the fall. That doesn't seem to be the case, but it does appear as if we'll get it before the year comes to an end.
Ice Cube took to social media to share the official cover art for his upcoming project, Everythang's Corrupt. The cover art features a bloody hang gripping a 100 dollar bill. Considering the current social and political climate, it seems as if we're going to hear Ice Cube get deeper into politics like he's done on some of his earlier work. Either way, we're excited that Cube has a new album officially on the way.
Ice Cube's Everythang's Corrupt has been a project in the making for a minute. Back in 2014, he announced a release date for October 21st, 2015 which clearly never happened. However, the rapper shared the cover art with the caption, "Winter is coming..." which definitely means we'll get it in the coming months.
Aside from his upcoming album, Cube has also been working towards finally releasing the highly-anticipated final chapter of the Friday series. It's unsure when it'll actually be released but it looks like Ice Cube is working towards finally releasing Last Friday.
