CupcakKe scared many of her fans, friends, and family when she sent out a tweet yesterday alerting her 412 thousand followers that she was going to commit suicide.
Comedian Elijah Daniel and seemingly a good friend of CupcakKe (born Elizabeth Eden Harris) tried contacting everyone close to the rapper, eventually talking with the Chicago PD who did a wellness check and then admitted her to the hospital.
Now that she's reported to be okay and in safe hands, a few of her industry mates have sent out kind messages to keep CupcakKe in high spirits.
"I understand how hopeless and overwhelmed with negativity we can sometimes feel. I hope you'll take some time with those that really know YOU best; then when you're ready come back stronger than ever!" Iggy Azalea wrote.
Charli XCX also shared a statement regarding her friend: "You are powerful. People believe in you. People want to listen to every word you have to say. People are inspired. You have taught me and so many others about being ourselves, embracing exactly who we are and being proud of where we come from and what we stand for. You have so much more to teach."
