Ella Mai is making major moves.

Off the strength of "Boo'd Up," Ella Mai kicked in the door to the music industry. She's undoubtedly one of the biggest breakout artists of the year, dominating the charts and proving that her artistry extends past her 2017 single. As she gears up to close out 2018, she's penned a new publishing deal with Sony/ATV.

Following the success of her self-titled debut album, Ella Mai has penned a new worldwide publishing deal with Sony/ATV. With the success she's experienced in the past few months, the co-president of Sony/ATV, Rick Krim, said she has a promising career ahead of her.

"Ella Mai is an astonishing new talent who has rightly emerged as one of 2018’s biggest breakout artists,"  Krim told Billboard in a statement. "We are honored that she has chosen Sony/ATV as her music publisher and we cannot wait to work with her on what promises to be an outstanding career."

Sony/ATV co-head of West Coast A&R, Jennifer Knoeplfe, echoed Krim's sentiment, saying Ella Mai became one of the most thrilling young artists to emerge in 2018.

"Ella is one of the most exciting new artists to emerge this year," Knoeplfe said. "This is only the beginning for her and we are so excited to be her publishing partner as her star continues to rise."

Sony/ATV's announcement comes a shortly after it was revealed Ella Mai scored two Grammy nominations for "Boo'd Up" in the Song Of The Year and Best R&B song categories.
