The 2018 American Music Awards are just around the corner and since announcing the lengthy list of nominations (that sees Cardi B and Drake receiving the most nods) the event has now announced its first set of acts to take the stage. Carrie Underwood, Imagine Dragons, Post Malone and Ty Dolla $ign are the first four listed with each group (except Carrie) all up for an award the same night.
Post and Ty will be performing their collaborative single "Psycho" from Post's sophomore release, Beerbongs & Bentleys. Post is nominated in seven categories, including the acclaimed artist of the year award.
Post was one of many artists to share kind awards amid the passing of Mac Miller. "He was such a beautiful fucking dude and such a sweet dude and loved everybody," he said, detailing how he and Mac had plans to do an album together. "I grew up listening to his music and he really inspired me. This fucking sucks, man. He was too sweet, super nice. We played beer pong at the studio and he kicked ass."
The AMAs take place October 9th ay Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater.
