Over the Holiday season, Eminem and Paul Rosenberg took over the airwaves for their Shade 45 exclusive special "The 12 Days Of Diss-Mas." Though he didn't end up giving it an official slot, Eminem made mention to Del The Funky Homosapien's "Wack MCs." Given Em's sheer ubiquity, many found their curiosities piqued, and proceeded to delve deeper into the track's history.
As Em made reference to a low-key LL Cool J diss, Del took to Twitter over the weekend, in order to better explain his perspective on the notorious track. “Heard @Eminem mentioned me on a recent episode of @Shade45 for dissing @llcoolj back in the day on ‘Wack M.C.’s," writes Del. "Wanted to address that as it’s crazy and true but there’s more to it lol.”

The line in question finds Del spitting "Why swoon when you hear a ballad, is what I tell a broad/Cause L a fraud, he ain’t hella hard/I used to look up, now I want to cook up." Del explains that people in his camp felt that LL had struck first, and encouraged him to respond accordingly. "So it is true and I did but only because everyone around me was pumping me up telling me LL dissed me," he reflects. "Some line he said with something that could be interpreted to be talking about me if you listened hard enough.”
Del admits that the art of peer pressure got the better of him, and admitted that LL was one of his inspirations growing up. Speaking with HipHopDX, Del took a moment to reflect on the situation. "I ain’t proud of it. LL is actually one of my favorites ever ’til this day. I just felt some sort of way cause everyone was going on about how LL dissed me, so I was hurt," he says. Still, it's clear he's got no ill will toward anybody involved, including Eminem for bringing it up once again.
