When Dr. Dre hopped on Anderson .Paak's Instagram yesterday to show off his collection of Air Force 1 sneakers, he likely meant no ill will toward anybody. He was just having some fun with one of his favorite artists, going through the days of the week with a fresh pair of 1's on his feet. .Paak noted that there are levels to Dre's sneaker collection and while most of his kicks are of the Air Force variety, one rapper from Chicago seems to believe that there may have been a subtle jab at him.
G Herbo is having an insane year, appreciating the buzz he's gotten from his viral "Who Run It" freestyle. He also released a solid effort with Southside titled Swervo and welcomed a baby boy into the world. When he watched the video of Dre going through his sneakers, he decided to film his response, perhaps thinking of himself as the king of Air Force 1's. "Ay Dr. Dre, what you dissing me or something?" asked Herb in his own video. He added that he takes it personally, speaking to the camera with a straight face the entire time. "My shit looks like Foot Locker," he said, detailing that he has several pairs piled up just like Dre. The artist proceeds to call out Dre, .Paak and Nike, tagging 50 Cent so he can show the Doc what's up.
At the end of the video, he finally laughs but he seems genuinely interested in beginning a competition with Dr. Dre about who has more pairs of 1's.
