The Governor of Kentucky called Weezy a "tired, has-been."

When it was announced that Lil Wayne would be joining Imagine Dragons during their halftime performance on ESPN's college football broadcast, fans were excited to tune in to see what he would play. The legendary rapper has dabbled with rock music in the past and he's shown to be a big fan of Imagine Dragons. He ended up performing his Tha Carter V standout "Uproar" and a remix of the band's "Believer," which was uploaded to streaming services directly after the performance. As people were watching the show go down, football fans were generally unimpressed with Weezy, wishing he would have just stayed backstage.

The main thing that people were confused about was the artist's wacky outfit, which has been compared to the "Hamburglar." Tunechi rocked an oversized coat with sunglasses, shiny red pants, a large hat, a striped scarf, fingerless gloves, and knee-high boots. Needless to say, the star's outfit was not a hit with the crowd. Many questioned his identity before realizing that it was actually Lil Wayne, which left a few people angry, including the Kentucky Governor. "Way to ruin an entertaining @Imaginedragons half-time concert," wrote Matt Bevin. He then proceeded to refer to Tunechi as a "tired has-been." Ouch.

Of course, Wayne's fans have stepped in to defend him on social media. The main source of backlash is his outfit, not his performance. I guess that's a positive...
