Tyler, the Creator keeps it 100 in his latest cover exposé.

Tyler, the Creator opened up to Complex about a bunch of issues concerning his sexuality, his sobriety and the decision to keep certain things in his life private. On the topic of his sexuality, which he first discussed publicly in 2017, Tyler admitted that isn't any closer to understanding the laws of attraction that govern his desire.

For one thing, he seems to be at peace with the ambiguity. “We hate not being in the know. So people will bullshit answers, make shit up, instead of being just, like—I don’t know. There are some things that are just unexplainable," he stated in the interview.

Tyler, the Creator has thrown homophobic language willy-nilly in the past, but that was before taboo became less secretive. Throughout the interview, Tyler did infer some type of attraction to "Beautiful People," deliberately void of specific pronouns, if you need to know.

As for his sobriety, Tyler, the Creator speaks about it as personal conviction, but not one he hopes to espouse on others with one exception. Tyler wants everyone in the studio involved in his projects to have a clear "healthy mind." One incident instantly came to mind for Tyler: a recording session for "Potato Salad" with Pretty Flacko.

"I went in the room and took the blunt out of somebody’s hand, threw it on the ground and stepped on it and said, ‘This is a distraction. This needs to stop. We are here to fucking work. Not to hang out,’" Tyler brought to mind. "Fuck that. Clear mind. At least once, goddamn. We’re drug-free at night."
