The public is used to seeing Laverne Cox dazzle attendees of industry events with her glamorous attires bolstered by her confident demeanor. The Orange Is The New Black star came through with that same attitude and style on Monday when she attended the 25th Annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Celebration in Beverly Hills.
A low-cut black gown was her fashion pick for the evening, boasting of a long silhouette leading into a train for added flair. The strapless gown drew attention to Cox' chest with its V-neck line.
While the actress was smiling as she posed for the cameras, her satin number began to fall off, revealing more than its structure originally intended. The back of her dress had opened up somehow, allowing the front of her bustier to hang low. Laverne managed to remain graceful as she followed instructions to add movement to her poses and "play with the wind."
Although many celebrities usually have someone on their crew who assists them on the red carpet, no one rushed to fix falling dress. Strapless dresses can be taped down to a person's chest as a way to prevent full-blown nip slips so it can be assumed that this fashion trick saved the actress from being completely exposed.
