Another week, another row of applicants, all deserving of their place on HNHH's FIRE EMOJI playlist. For starters, Denzel Curry backed his statement of purpose with Act 3, thus adding to his FIRE EMOJI tally for the second week running. Elsewhere, Migos shared "Hot Summer," their most accomplished record in some time, Culture II included. DJ Durel came anew with a cautionary flag for his mates, and result is as expected, vintage Migos.
YG also popped up on the radar this week, dropping his single "Handgun." The Compton rapper trades bounce for dogged grimness without losing his sense of propriety. A$AP Rocky, among the "rappers du moment," adds a grim verse of his own to the concoction.
G Herbo also rose to the occasion this week, on two fronts: for his outspoken verdict and most importantly for the music itself. "100 Sticks" hands him an enviable collab with Young Thug he'll be adding to his resume going forward. So yes, another week has passed and us rap aficionados have little to complain about.
