Non-football fans love to tune in to the Super Bowl every year to catch some exclusive first looks at upcoming movies, TV shows, and more. Advertising firms tend to spend the big bucks to ensure that their product is placed perfectly in peak marketing times whenever there's a break in the action. While the beer companies cashed out last night, a few of the most anticipated films got new trailers or teasers. Avengers and Us were given a few new looks into their respective plots and people were excited to see their favorite animated toys come to life again as part of a Super Bowl teaser for Toy Story 4.
The new teaser for Toy Story shows Buzz Lightyear "held up" at a carnival, trying to find his way out to meet with Woody and the returning Bo Peep. Bo Peep last appeared in Toy Story 2, which was released in 1999. In the clip, she and Woody try and figure out where Buzz Lightyear is after he agreed to meet them at a carnival. Instead, he's being offered as one of the toys you win at a game stand.
According to The Verge, Bo Peep has changed a lot since the last time we saw her. Director Josh Cooley says, "Bo’s taken control of her own destiny. While Woody was watching Andy grow up, Bo gathered dust until she took it upon herself to head out into the world. And when Woody shows up, they can’t believe that they’ve found each other again."
Toy Story 4 is set to release on June 21, 2019.
