Harlem-native Sheck Wes has been chosen as the inaugural curator of Nike’s new program, NYC Editions, which celebrates New York City through partnerships with local creatives.
With Wes, NYC Editions tips-off with a bicoastal colorway, as his Nike Air Max 95 and Nike Blazer Mid serve as a nod to his current life, split between NYC and LA, by finding commonality in a love for basketball. Color schemes from both, which balance New York’s noteworthy orange and LA’s unmistakable purple, highlight the Sheck Wes NYC Editions apparel.
In addition to the two special edition sneakers, Sheck Wes also curated two T-shirts, a long sleeve T-shirt, hoodie, short and pant- all of which reflect his move from east to west, and capture a gritty graphic aesthetic.
Nike will celebrate the inaugural NYC Editions collection curated by Sheck Wes at Social Studies NYC. The footwear will be available tomorrow, November 16 at Nike stores and select retailers.
