A Pittsburgh area rapper who has been affiliated with Mac Miller is in a boat load of trouble. The artist, Hardo, has been arrested for having quite a bit of heroin in his possession.
Hardo, who was born Joseph Barnett Jr., was stopped by police in Wilkinsburg, Penn. on Sept. 10th for running a red light. While he was detained, the cops allegedly spotted a shopping bag with 250 baggies of heroin.
According to CBS Pittsburgh, he was not carrying ID and was driving with a suspended license. He also supposedly tried to run away before being tackled to the ground by authorities.
Hardo’s relationship with Mac Miller began in high school, where the two met at Taylor Allderdice High School. Hardo also appeared on Mac Miller’s recent MTV show, and was referred to as Mac’s muscle. Hardo had allegedly signed a 3 million dollar deal with Atlantic Records, according to CBS Pittsburgh. However, a press representative from Atlantic denies any affiliation with the rapper.
Hardo, who claims that the car belonged to a hospitalized friend, is currently being held in Allegheny County Jail in Pennsylvania and has been charged with drug possession with attempt to deliver, resisting arrest and attempt to escape.
