Orlando Magic rookie center Mo Bamba has officially inked a multi-year sneaker deal with Under Armour, joining fellow big men Joel Embiid and OKC Thunder rookie Hamidou Diallo, both of whom signed on with UA this week.
Bamba had been wearing Nike sneakers during the Las Vegas Summer League but switched up to the Under Armour HOVR Havoc Low during the pre-season.
In signing with Under Armour, Bamba will join a small list of NBA players that includes Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, Dennis Smith Jr., Josh Jackson, Kent Bazemore, and Hamidou Diallo. Other star athletes on Under Armour's roster include Cam Newton, Tom Brady, Bryce Harper and Jordan Spieth.
While Under Armour continues to bolster their basketball talent, it has been PUMA that made the biggest splash in the NBA this offseason, signing a handful of the top rookies including DeAndre Ayton, Marvin Bagley III, Kevin Knox, Michael Porter Jr. and Zhaire Smith, as well as DeMarcus Cousins, Terry Rozier and Rudy Gay.
Bamba, 20, was selected sixth overall out of Texas in the 2018 NBA Draft and will make his NBA debut tonight as Orlando hosts the Miami Heat.
