Ella Mai talks getting discovered, her new album and more.

Ella Mai recently dropped off her long-awaited self-titled debut album that features her beloved tracks "Boo'd Up" and "Trip." The 23-year-old UK singer is DJ Mustard's protege and since signing with his 10 Summers label (after being discovered on the Instagram discover page) she's now grown into one of the hottest R&B stars.

Of course, her time has finally come to pay a visit to The Breakfast Club and Charlamagne Tha God didn't wait even a minute until asking her if it was her fault the Jacquees remix of her song got pulled from the Internet. Ella played it cool ln letting it be known her label has spoken and there's really nothing left to say, later detailing that her favourite remix was the official Nicki Minaj and Quavo drop.

Further in the interview, Ella explains how rare her summer smash hit really was, and how it may never happen again. "I don't know if anything from [...] my album or whatever will do what "Boo'd Up" has done," she said. "It might, it might not which is fine with me because I feel like nobody expected it."
