The Celtics star is coming back to the lineup.

The Boston Celtics will be in luck when they play the Brooklyn Nets tonight as it looks as though Kyrie Irving is coming back into the lineup. Irving had missed the last two games after scratching his eye in a match against the San Antonio Spurs last week, a game the team lost 120-111.

“(Eyes are) OK. Right eye had a scratch in it, left is just really inflamed, so just kind of waiting for it to kind of calm down,” Irving said to a group of reporters, via NBC Sports Boston. "It’s going to take time, but I’ll be ready for (Monday).”

Irving's eye got scratched when Mario Belinelli of the Spurs struck him in the face while going for a rebound. After reflecting on the incident, Irving doesn't believe there were any ill intentions behind the play and that it was purely an accident.

"I make my living with my eyes,” Irving said. “My eyes are just one of the most important things that I need to play this game. (The right eye) was swollen, and there was light sensitivity after the initial hit. Watched it a few times, trying to figure out whether or not it was malicious or not, but I don’t think it was.

The Celtics are 2-0 in Irving's absence, picking up wins against Minnesota and Dallas.
