Young Thug has been playing stadiums over the last few weeks as he opens for J. Cole on his KOD tour, but the Detroit Pistons were treated to a much more intimate concert from the Atlanta rapper Thursday night. The Pistons players, including Blake Griffin, were not shy about sharing their special experience in social media. Griffin posted a video of Thug performing "Killed Before" from SUPER SLIMEY, attaching the caption "Our owner is better than yours," speaking of the team's owner Tom Gores, who appears to have thrown the party. Thug also performed "About The Money," his popular T.I. collaboration. The private event took place at a mansion in Malibu.
Thug wasn't the only performer of the night, however. Pistons' center Andre Drummond, who's been known to dabble in rap, also blessed the team with a performance, and according to TMZ, Thugger was watching it all go down. No word on whether or not he'll be signing Drummond to YSL anytime soon. Drummond released his EP FYI earlier this month.
Thug just released his long-awaited album Slime Language, which, as it turns out, is more of a compilation showcasing his YSL artists and others. The project features collaborations with Lil Uzi Vert, Gunna, Lil Baby, and his on-again-off-again girlfriend Jerrika Karlae. Stream the project here.
