Today is a big day for DJ Khaled. The man brought everybody back from "I'm The One" (except Lil Wayne...) to recreate the magic on "No Brainer." Releasing this afternoon, it's too early to judge the impact that this track will have but so far, it sounds like something radio will be happy to eat up. Khaled has been doing this for years though and with Father of Asahd coming in the near future, the track with Justin Bieber, Quavo, and Chance The Rapper will be one of the lead-up singles. Putting all his energy into creating memorable collaborations between some of the hottest artists out, a few of the industry's leaders described why exactly Khaled gets so much attention.
Sure, he may be somewhat annoying at times and many aren't really even too sure about what he actually does. However, his role as a curator is severely understated. Khaled posted a few videos during the promo for "No Brainer" from his peers, explaining just why he's so special. As Big Sean, Diddy, Busta Rhymes, and Future spoke about him being a "child of God," Busta may have summed it up best. He said, "There's keywords that describe Khaled: powerful, greatness, conviction, passion, determined, fail-proof. You know, those are the descriptions that perfectly describe Khaled to me."
With so much drive and determination to succeed, Khaled has made a great impact on the game as it is. If you haven't listened to the new power collaboration yet, check it out here.
