Reebok and Houston Texans star JJ Watt have today introduced the latest colorway of the JJ II, inspired by the U.S. Military. Dubbed the Reebok JJ II "Valor Edition," Watt enlisted the help of a close friend and retired U.S. Navy SEAL to co-design the special edition sneaker.
Commemorative design details of the JJ II Valor Edition include:
- ‘NEVER FORGET’ stitching on the shoe’s tongue in remembrance of Operation Red Wings. This detail matches a patch that Watt has worn on his shoulder pads throughout the majority of his professional career. Shortly after he was drafted, this patch was given to him by a widow of a fallen Navy SEAL from Operation Red Wings and has been something he’s worn ever since in tribute to this soldier’s memory.
- Dates on the sock liner memorialize Navy SEALs killed in action and killed in training
According to Reebok, as an additional thank you and acknowledgment to our troops, for every pair of JJ II Valor Edition shoes purchased during the holiday season, Reebok will be donating a pair of JJ II training shoes to the Navy SEAL Foundation in honor of our nation’s heroes and their families.
The Reebok JJ II Valor Edition will be available for purchase in unisex adult and kid sizes starting December 12th on Reebok.com.
