Roseanne's best strategy at this point would be to backtrack.

Roseanne Barr has been riding a wave of convoluted emotions ever since her reboot show was canceled. The comedian lost her comeback series after she tweeted disparaging comments about former White House senior advisor Valerie Jarrett. Roseanne wrote that Jarrett looked like "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby," which was a joke that ABC did not find funny. After losing her show, Roseanne has done the most. She apologized at first, but then began blaming the people and things around her as the days continued on. "Guys I did something unforgiveable so do not defend me. It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting -- it was memorial day too -- i went 2 far & do not want it defended -- it was egregious Indefensible. I made a mistake I wish I hadn't but...don't defend it please," tweeted Roseanne before deleting her apology and excuse.

Roseanne appeared on Fox's Hannity program, and spoke to the conservative journalist about the tweet. To no one's surprise, the comedian did a 180, and began to defend her comments while also offering an insincere apology and sarcastically poking fun at Jarrett. "I'm so sorry that you thought I was racist and that you thought my tweet was racist, because it wasn't," Roseanne stated when Hannity asked what she would say to Jarrett if they spoke. "I'm sorry that you feel harmed and hurt. I never meant that and for that, I apologize." She continued on to rescind from her rant when she screamed, "I thought the bitch was white!" "You could have knocked me over with a feather when they said she was African-American," she told Hannity. "I thought she was Middle Eastern." Jarret was born to American parents while in Iran. She is a mix of African-American and European. “Plus, I’d tell her, she’s got to get a new haircut. I mean, seriously. She needs a new haircut," joked Roseanne, highlighting her utter indifference on the subject. She did admit that she made a mistake and "lost everything."
