The 2018 BET Awards are approaching and Jamie Foxx is readying his second go at playing host. Today more news has been announced surrounding the anticipated show and it's the first string of acts set to take the stage. Nicki Minaj, Migos, Janelle Monáe, H.E.R., and Ella Mai are the lucky four to be announced and considering all the music they have put out in recent months, we have a lot to look forward to.
The show takes place on June 24th in Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theatre and will air live at 8 PM. The nominations were previously announced and DJ Khaled is leading the pool with the most nods (six) including Best Collaboration on “Wild Thoughts" and “Top Off,” Album of the Year and Video of the Year. Following up behind him is Kendrick Lamar with five nominations and Migos and SZA with four nominations. Check out the full list here.
In other BET news, Azealia Banks called on Diddy to take down the BET Awards show asking him to start a Revolt TV Award show. "Bet is dead and it isn’t coming back. I wouldn’t hire anyone who’s worked for BET at revolt or any other media company. Let them sink," she said.
