Following Dwyane Wade's "Last Dance" against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center on Monday night, Wade dished out a few parting gifts to select members of the Lakers, including his longtime friend LeBron James and second-year guard Josh Hart.
LeBron received D-Wade's autographed game-worn jersey, while Hart walked away with Wade's game-worn Way of Wade kicks. As seen in the photo embedded below, Wade wrote a personal message on the sneakers that reads: “I love the way you play the game. Reminds me of me. Keep going.”
Speaking with reporters following the Lakers' 108-105 win, Hart mentioned how Wade was his favorite player growing up, and is the reason he has worn #3 in high school, college and now in the pros.
The 23-year old guard was selected 30th overall by the Utah Jazz in the 2017 NBA Draft but was immediately traded to the Lakers on draft night. In 27 games this season, the former Villanova Wildcat is averaging 9.1 points in roughly 25 minutes of action per night.
