According to Hypebeast, the leaked song was originally supposed to appear on Travis' 2016 project but it was eventually scrapped.
"The Curse" was freshly discovered online and while its origins are still unclear, it's available to listen to via unofficial channels. The annotations on Genius note that an early tracklist of Birds included this song but later versions had cut it out. It's undetermined whether Travis plans to release this in the future or not.
La Flame is currently in the midst of a wild tour that brings Astroworld to life. Rollercoasters and Ferris Wheels inhabit the arena as Travis rages on two separate stages with his fans. He has teased that his next album will contain a Broadway theme, hinting that he may actually put on plays before its release.
