With the NBA season set to tip off tonight in Boston, Celtics All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving has finally unveiled his fifth signature sneaker - the Nike Kyrie 5.
Following the release of the “Halloween” Kyrie 4 earlier today, Kyrie took the court at Celtics' practice facility with the never before seen Kyrie 5s on his feet. Like other sneakers in Kyrie's signature line, the Kyrie 5 silhouette is of mid-cut height. According to Sneaker News, the kicks also feature a new Flytrap lockdown system, resembling a mid-foot shroud that extends from the medial side.
It remains to be seen which colorway Irving will lace up for the season-opener against the 76ers, but we’ll find out soon enough. In the meantime, check out some on-foot images of the Kyrie 5 in the IG post embedded below while we await official photos and details from Nike.
