"It's just a bunch of nonsense right now."

Hours before taking the floor at Madison Square Garden, Kyrie Irving told the media he owed them, or any NBA franchise for that matter, a sealed promise as to where he'll sign this offseason. Well, it would appear that his comments put New York Knicks' fans on notice because when Kyrie Irving took to the floor on game day, they were all cheers. Chant of "We want Kyrie" became nearly impossible to block out by the 2nd half of play. But Kyrie is no simp, the Celtics' guard kept his composure when asked to comment on the flattering reception.

"It's nothing but a distraction at this point. Like I said, I'm appreciative of the fan support I get in any arena. But of course, coming back home -- obviously, what's going on in terms of that noise and commentary, it's just a bunch of nonsense right now," he affirmed post-game. So, can't do anything about it. I'm just accepting, I'm appreciative, but at the same time, I got a game to focus on."

The New York Knicks, who were more than "lightly active" on the trade front this week, are believed to be interested in attaining Irving's services in the offseason if he doesn't re-up with the Celts. For the record, Irving and the Celtics ran away with a 113-99 win over the new-look Knicks. So much for that vocal commitment eh Kyrie?
